About High Clarity Polypropylene Bags

High Clarity Polypropylene Bags (PP Bags)

  • Enhanced Product Presentation
  • Greater Protective Value
  • Grease and Oil Resistance
  • Does not yellow when exposed to sunlight
  • Keeps low moisture rate (MVTR)
  • Lower Oxygen Transfer Rate (OTR)

Why Polypropylene Bags?

With all types of varying plastic bags US Poly Pack's line of Polypropylene bags (also known as high clarity PP Bags) are desired for its product display capability. The ability to provided high clarity and transparency gives the poly bag and advantage by enhancing and highlighting the packaged goods. While traditional polyethylene bags have a slight haze that may distort the product this high transparency allows for consumers to view products without any uncertainty.

But more importantly than its high clarity ability, polypropylene bags have greater protective value. The keys to this poly bag are its OTR (oxygen transfer rate), MVTR (Moisture/Vapor Transmission Rate), grease/oil resistance. OTR and MVTR of polypropylene bags out preform the standard poly bags. Another characteristics of these plastic bags are their grease and oil resistance better than other poly bags. Finally, unlike cellophane bags these Due to these characteristics these PP bags provide great product enhancement and presentation of items in crystal clarity without any cloudy haze.

Perform Better in Tougher Conditions

Though these bags have high performance when it comes to clarity and protective value often these PP bags will perform better when they are exposed to the Sunlight. Unlike cellophane bags our polypropylene bags do not yellow when exposed to light for long periods of time. Also, in cold atmospheres such in a freezer pp bags outperform standard polyethylene bags due to their OTR and MVTR capabilities. However, because our bags do not have a freezer additive called EVA the bags are not recommended to use as long term freezer bags. For solutions for freezer bags contact us for more information. The only down side to polypropylene plastic bags are they are not meant for hot atmospheres such as microwaves, ovens, or grilling.
